Strategic Preparation
You must be outstanding with certain subjects. For example, if you are strong at Math, then it is likely that you are good with Physics and Physical Chemistry. There are some chapters that are important for these subjects. For instance, Calculus, Mechanics, Organic Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Bonding and Optics are the topics that should be your priority while preparing.
Having a good hold on these will help you utilize your time efficiently during the exam, and help you gain more confidence in answering difficult and tricky questions in JEE Main 2020.
Cover your base
Collect all your notes and previous year question papers to practice and revise all concepts thoroughly. Make sure you go through the NCERT books completely, because both the exams – JEE Main syllabus and JEE Advanced syllabus are entirely based on the NCERT books. If you are unable to solve a question, it is fine as it helps you get an idea of the areas that need more preparation. Check the answers, figure out the trick and give it another shot. This will give you a lot of confidence. To improve your preparations for computer-based JEE 2020, you can also practice with online mock tests by Aakash PracTest.
Be careful with your biggest enemy
Negative marks are your biggest enemy during the exams. Be careful while attempting the questions. The objective is not to attempt all the questions, but to make sure that all attempted questions will give you the correct answers. Use all your tricks and shortcuts and arrive at the correct answers without committing mistakes.
11th standard is the key for JEE Main 2020
Students have always faced difficulty with 11th standard topics. Board exams focus on 12th standard syllabus, but competitive exams like the JEE Main & JEE Advanced are based on both 11th & 12th standard portions. So revising the 11th standard topics is important and highly recommended. If you find it difficult to cover 11th class syllabus for JEE Main 2020 without coaching, you can do it by watching recorded video lectures by Aakash iTutor. You can buy complete 11th syllabus as video lectures and can watch them at your own pace.
Eat, sleep and time yourself
Lack of sleep could be a major hurdle as it reduces your concentration and performance levels. Stay relaxed, eat healthy food and get enough sleep. This routine will really help you prepare well and deliver a great performance during the exam. While following the routine, you should be conscious of time management too as time is your best friend during JEE 2020 preparation.
Don’t let the technicalities of type of attempts bother you. Focus on your preparation and ensure that you are thorough with all the concepts and have practiced well enough. Be confident in your preparation and you will certainly succeed.
