JEE Advanced is by far one of the most competitive examinations in the entire nation. The prestigious IITs of the nation want the cream of the crop to enter their sacred grounds, and the only way to do so is to pick students using a carefully formulated testing environment, that brings the best out of a candidate. Testing the candidate on so many levels is what the JEE Advanced does, and it comes as no surprise that only a few who sit for the test actually end up making it to an IIT.

So, with a month to go for JEE Advanced 2019, what should you be looking to do in order to boost your score? We have some tips and tricks for you.

Mock tests are of paramount importance

In the last few days before the big exam, mock tests are crucial in helping you boost your score. But simply taking a mock test is not enough. What should always follow a mock test is the analysis of your strengths and weaknesses, which is the main reason why mocks are important. Helping you identify your weaker areas, so that you can work on those in these last few days is a blessing.

Make it a point to take at least one mock test a day, and then take 1-2 hours to analyse your performance bit by bit.

As the exam will be conducted in the online format, solving online mock tests will be a good idea. Platforms like Aakash PracTest not just give you access to different online mock tests for JEE Advanced but also provide detailed performance analysis reports to help you understand which areas need more attention.

Start building a routine

When there is around one month or three weeks to go for the exam, start building a routine that mimics what you would do on the day of the exam. Start waking up at the same time, going to sleep at the same time that you would on the night before, and so on. This triggers your mind to be most alert during the time of day when you would appear for the exam, thus reducing the chances of making silly mistakes.

Eat better

Start eating foods that boost your brain power and memory. Foods such as those rich in proteins (cashews, cottage cheese, almonds, and other dry fruits) are beneficial for your mental and physical health, therefore, make it a point to incorporate the aforementioned into your diet. If you study late at night, do not gorge on snacks the whole night, instead, have something light or healthy to eat.

Most importantly, relax!

One month to go for perhaps the biggest day of your life. This merits for some tensions, doesn’t it? Don’t! Take it easy one month before JEE Advanced 2019. This is not the time to take tension and anxiety on board, leave it behind, and enjoy these last few days of hard work and preparation! Relax, keep on grinding, revision is important, and taking breaks in between study routines is more important.

Therefore, the last few days before the JEE Advanced need not be filled with anxiety and fear. Take it easy, relax, follow our tips and tricks, and watch how you waltz your way through the JEE Advanced!
