The JEE fever has fully struck the aspirants as well as their parents. With the third session of JEE Main 2021 just around the corner, search for the last-minute tips and tricks has also started. Here we bring a few tips and strategies to follow 15 days before JEE Main 2021 (April Session ) that will be conducted from 27-30 April.

Follow the Pomodoro technique

Do you get distracted easily? If yes, the Pomodoro technique is the answer to your problem.

Confused what is it?

This is a simple technique where you set a timer for 25 minutes for a task and do nothing else during that time. No phone, no social media, no email; the complete focus should be on the task, which now is JEE Main 2021 preparation. After every session of 25 minutes, take a break of 5-7 minutes. Once you complete 4 such sessions, take a long break of 25-30 minutes to refresh your mind.

Revise all the formulae daily

Make a habit of revising all the formulae at least once a day every day till the exam day. You can also make a chart and paste it near your bed to go have a glance at them.

Revise the syllabus completely

Revision is the best way to make the most of this limited time. It can be done by going through your notes and by solving as many mock tests as you can. Given below is a revision technique you can follow:

Categorise the subjects:

You can divide your syllabus into three parts:

  • Toughest topics
  • Moderate topics
  • Easy topics

Make a day-wise plan

  • 0-5 days – Revise the toughest topics
  • 6-10 days – Pick moderate topics
  • 10-12 days – Revise easy topics
  • 12-15 days – Solve mock tests to understand where you lack and work on the areas

Just make sure you don’t leave the tough topics for the last days. Covering them first will boost your confidence.

Practice solving important and difficult questions

When solving previous year question papers or mock tests, you must have come across a few questions or certain type of questions asked regularly, which you also found difficult to answer. Leaving such questions is not a solution. Rather, you should look for tricks to quickly and accurately solve these questions to score well in the exam.

Solve JEE online mock tests and identify a pattern to answer the questions

Along with hard work, to quickly and accurately answer the questions, you also need smart work. One of the ways to do this is to identify a pattern to answer the questions and follow the same on the D-day. This is possible only through regular practice.

While solving the mock tests, you should make notes of the order in which you should solve the questions. For instance, it’s not important you answer the question in the same series as these are asked. You can decide to pick Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry first as per your choice and convenience. It will help you stay relaxed and confident during the exam.

Don’t start any new topic

Whether you have completed your syllabus or not, never make the mistake of starting a new topic at this point in time. It will only create more stress and cause anxiety. Rather, focus on revising what you have already studied.

Relax and stay confident

Last but not the least, stay relaxed and confident. You have tried your best to prepare for JEE Main 2021. Now let your result prove it.

Wish you all the best for your preparation and the exam. Get ready to rock it!
