With India transcending through the digital world and the number of entrance exams increasing every year, it is not surprising that some of the biggest entrance examinations are now conducted online. Two new exams that will now be conducted purely in online format are JEE and NEET; two major engineering and medical entrance exams in the country.

National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced a huge change in NEET and JEE Mains exam pattern. As per the news, the exams will now be conducted twice a year and will be in a purely online format. NEET that used to be conducted in pen-and-paper based formats will be a computer-based exam from 2019 onwards. As per the news, NEET will now be conducted in February and May every year henceforth for a single admission process.

A newly formed body, National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET across India. Computer-based NEET exam pattern will be applicable now as opposed to the physical one held earlier. The tests will be held on multiple days and will give the student the liberty to choose the dates and centers as per their convenience. The different difficulty levels in the tests will be equated by a special standardization technique to determine the final score. The best of the equated scores will be used during admissions. New computer-based NEET exam pattern is believed to make the whole exam taking process transparent, leak-proof, convenient and up to international standards.

Though most of the students are now aware of the digital learning mediums, when it comes to taking the computer-based test, many candidates feel that the diversion from the traditional path of written exam to an online test will cause more anxiety. In my opinion, more than the new pattern, it is limited or no practice of online tests that make students uncomfortable.

Now due to such a drastic change in the exam process, which came as a surprise to all of us, students are also required to change their NEET preparation strategies. It has got essential for you to revise your exam preparation techniques by incorporating more online tests to get ready for new computer-based NEET exam pattern. This shift from the traditional classroom setup to online learning will help you now more than ever. With online NEET coaching through live interactive sessions or recorded video lectures and a large number of online tests, you can ace the exam.

If you are still thinking about the right process and strategies to prepare for computer-based NEET 2019 exam, here are some helpful tips for you to prepare for the revised exam pattern in a confident manner.

Keep an Eye on the Exam Updates:

Thankfully, with the easy access to the internet and so many mobile apps, students can now easily get all the exam related updates. Now all the major entrance exams are conducted online and the exam conducting bodies update all the information on their websites. Students should regularly visit the website to stay updated with the latest information and study for the exam.

Get Familiar with the New Exam Pattern:

If you have never taken an online test, you must enroll for an online course or just buy tests to get familiar with the exam pattern. Also, carefully go through the information brochure released by the exam conducting body as it has all the information about the exam pattern and the process to mark the answers on the computer.

Get Online NEET Coaching:

Learning through digital mediums like live interactive classes and recorded video lectures is a different online experience than attending traditional coaching classes. Though the guidance and mentorship by the teachers will be the same in the live classes, it will make you habitual of using the computer for long and take the exam comfortably. It will also help you develop the habit of online reading, which you need when solving the questions in the computer-based exam.

Utilize Your Time Wisely:

With NEET happening twice a year with a small gap of just 3 months, the time span for preparation of the second attempt has reduced to a very minimal time period. You would not want to waste that precious time in commuting to and from the coaching center when you can get the same or even better-quality education in the comfort of your home. You can prepare without the additional tension of your next meal or your laundry.

Moreover, based on your performance in the first attempt, you can also opt for subject-specific NEET courses on Aakash iTutor. It will help you work on the areas that need more practice to get a better score in the second attempt.

Take Online Mock Tests:

Online learning platforms like Aakash Digital offer a large number of online tests including daily practice tests, mock tests, previous year question papers, sample papers and All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS). Though there are a number of websites offering online tests, there you can never be sure about the quality of the question papers. Online Tests by Aakash Digital will provide you with quality questions with correct answers and comprehensive analysis of your results. You can prepare for the real exam with these mock tests that provide you the same environment and pattern to help you excel in the exam.

Save All the Answers:

Technology is never under your control and you never when your system starts creating problems when taking the exam. So, it is wise to save every answer after solving them. Make sure you click on “save” after every answer keeping the technical issues in the mind. You can easily develop this habit by solving more and more NEET online tests at Aakash.

Although the sudden change in pattern might seem intimidating, at first sight, it is actually a boon for the students. Now they can make a second attempt within the year and not waste unnecessary time waiting for the exam to arrive. This system also provides the students with a way to correct their minor mistakes and not let it affect their entire future. Give your best in terms of revision, follow NEET 2019 preparation tips and get ready to ace the medical entrance exam.
