Get involved in their preparation

As a parent, your responsibility does not end by getting your child admitted to a coaching centre or by getting them the best study material. You still need to get involved in their preparation. It is your responsibility to regularly check your ward’s assignment, attendance in the class, progress, performance in weekly and other tests, and to obtain feedback from their tutors.

However, that does not at all mean that you keep running after your ward all the time. Encourage them to share their progress with you. You have to be supportive and understanding as your ward is undergoing a tough phase of his life. Thankfully, with online JEE courses, parents can easily get regular updates of their ward’s progress. Platforms like Aakash Live provide parents with an online dashboard where they can attend online PTMs, can check their ward’s attendance and progress.

Encourage them to solve mock tests

You should ask your child to solve as many mock tests as possible and then analyze how they are performing in those tests. These tests will help present a clearer picture of the progress of your ward to you as well as to him.

You can easily find a wide range of tests papers, mock tests, past year papers and other test series on the internet. You can also purchase online JEE test series for your child to help them get ready for the JEE exam.

Online courses and test series are great platforms

The online JEE courses will aid you to stay in touch with the tutors and monitor your ward’s performance. But his preparation is half baked without the right path and support from his parents. Parents play a key role in ensuring the right diet, study habits and consistency of the ward.

Encourage your child for regular revision and ensure that he is channelizing his energy in the right direction. If your child finds it boring to go through the same books again and again, you can buy the recorded video lectures where they can learn by watching engaging videos by experienced teachers.
